Enter any public IP address to see the country, region, city, time zone and network operator tied to that address block. The lookup uses public geolocation databases rather than GPS, so every result is approximate.
How it works
- 1Paste the IP address into the field and run the lookup.
- 2Read the country, region and city, along with approximate coordinates and time zone.
- 3Compare the result with your own connection's IP to spot mismatches caused by carrier registration.
Why does the city look wrong?
The database links the address block to the location the provider registered, not to your device. Many mobile carriers register whole blocks in a single major city, which is why the reported city can be far from where you are.
How accurate is IP geolocation?
Country and region are reliable in most cases. City level is often right but can be tens of miles off. Treat it as a network diagnostic, never as a way to locate a person.
